Struggling With Sensory No More!

Help me give my students tools to become more attentive to their learning and become better readers. These tools will help my special education students be able to properly fidget while being able to focus on their learning.

My Project

My classroom is for special education students. Before covid impacted learning, these students were already struggling to read. Now that they have endured the traumatic experience of having school closed and then turned online, they are even more behind. Students in my classroom do not learn in a typical way. They need access to be able to fidget and move around to allow their brain to focus on the very challenging task of reading. I like to try and make learning as exciting as possible by offering a classroom store with incentives for them to purchase using the classroom money they earn while remaining on task and working hard in my classroom. My students love fidget toys (which they are allowed to use in class to help them focus) fun pencils and erasers and colored whiteboard markers help the students to remain engaged to the lesson. They also love Rubik's cubes and want to start a club!

By donating to our project you will be supplying the students with materials to not only motivate them to want to learn but also with reading materials that will give them the building blocks to help them become life long readers.

All of the materials will help each and every student. Please help each of my students increase their focus and attention to increase their academic achievement.
