Structures And Properties Of Matter

My Students

Help! We have no hands on materials to teach science in a 21st century classroom!!

I teach 5th grade and my classroom is made up of 20 students all from different levels of poverty that attend a public school in Maine.

Most of them are eager to learn, but we don't have the tools they need to enhance their learning. I want my students to share the same passion that I share for science.

My Project

You have no idea what your contribution will do for my classroom. It will boost their enthusiasm and make them feel like important scientists. As a 5th grade teacher I am required to teach my students about Structures and Properties of Matter. How can I do this with no supplies? By donating lab kits for our classroom, these low poverty students will have something to look forward to. I try to make my lessons as hands-on as I can. The resources you donate can be used for other science lessons, not just one. With your donation, students will be able to physically see the changes in each state as to just looking at it in a book or online. My students will learn different ways to measure while learning different forms of matter. Your beaker set and scale donation will promote new learning that students can take with them throughout their school years. Students will then have to design their own experiment using the tools we receive. Aprons and goggles are just as important!

Students are becoming more underprivileged everyday and your donation can help this.

They want to feel loved and after experiencing the use of these important tools, they will appreciate it. Your donation will make science fun for kids again. Instead of dreading science block at the end of the day they will be enthusiastic! Please help our cause and donate today!
