This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I truly enjoy my 4th-grade students' energy, eagerness, and excitement for learning! What makes them special is not only our culturally diverse backgrounds, but their own personalities and how they bring positive encouragement to not only the classroom, but to each other as well.
Some anecdotes:
1. A great love of reading with a differentiated classroom library
2. Love working with hands-on concrete math manipulative resources to help my students grow their learning and find success
3. Enjoy making creative visuals of our learning to be displayed in our classroom and hallway
4. Allow for discourse to become a regular strategy in our classroom
5. Celebrate each other's successes
My Project
The classroom materials selected will enrich our student learning environment by providing students with strong materials that will supplement the materials we already have in our classroom. These materials will allow students to will be able to have a rich learning environment that will not allow them to learn globally, but will also allow students to have a selection of materials that are on more personal learning levels which will lead to independent success. These requested materials will benefit student's learning with providing them with more exposure to a variety of materials and different approaches/strategies to find success within the classroom and in the world in which they live and navigate.
