My students are always excited to come into class, no matter what type of day they are having.
With the stress of standardized testing, these students are resilient in being the best that they can be during their band class. Though we are far away from the urban area of our state, this does not stop me or my students to be able to succeed at our job: making music!
My Project
I am trying to develop my orchestra program here at my school. We are only a few years young and do not receive a lot of funding due to other departments having more priority over us. It is difficult and sad that we are not able to receive materials due to other priorities.
We have enthusiastic students that want to learn but we need materials to help them make music!
We hope that we can receive these method books not only to teach my students how to play their instruments but to find materials to help them become confident musicians!
The books that we currently have in our library are VERY outdated and I wanted to find something that would attract my students and keep their interest while learning music! They are not able to purchase method books so I loan them the books throughout the school year. We hope that this donation can help them both financially and musically!
