My students are K-5th-grade students from a small town. Many of them have not traveled out of the area, let alone out of the state. They love to know about the world they live in and about other children their age.
Excitement for learning describes the students in my classroom.
They have a desire to know more and learn more. I love the smiles on their faces when we explore something new. It is great when they come back the next day and tell me how they shared the previous day's class with their family.
My Project
My students need new rhythm band instruments. Our current instruments are old and in poor shape. Many of them are over 20 years old.
The students love to make music of their own.
With new rhythm instruments, they will be able to compose as well as play with their peers. Their smiles will be bright and their joy will be seen all around.
With these instruments, they can learn to read music as well as rhythm. They also will learn to play with others including the concept of keeping a steady beat.
