My students need some flexible seating so we can get out of our chairs. I am looking to have a big rug and some floor seats for my students to use.

My Students

I teach at a school that serves Pre-K through third grade. I am a second grade teacher that has a bright group of 18 students. They have a wide variety of interests from sports to science to animals. They are all bright, capable students that come from many different backgrounds and homes.

My students love to read and work throughout the room.

It is important to offer many different work spaces for them to use throughout the day. We love to lay on the rug, sit at tables, or relax on a bean bag.

My Project

I would like to create some flexible seating for my students so they do not always have to sit at a table or desk to work. A big rug would help my students to stretch out and complete their work with plenty of space. The floor chairs would be another option to get kids up and out of their seats.

My students will have a place to get away from their desks to stretch out and learn.

I feel it will create a more relaxing yet engaging environment for all the students. Students will be able to have options as to where they perform best.
