Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are all English Language Learners. They come from diverse backgrounds and some face many challenges in their lives on a daily basis. They work well together and are a true learning community; I am proud to be their teacher.
My students are very special to me and I want to provide them with resources to help them progress to their potential.
They need different resources than a mainstream classroom, and it is my desire to secure them the appropriate resources however I am able.
My Project
We have a variety of students in the general education and the special education classrooms that could benefit from sensory fidgets to help reduce anxiety, stress, and give the sensory input they may need. I am asking for a variety of sensory fidgets that will provide students the relief they feel from returning back to school and dealing with how Covid has affected their family. These sensory fidgets will take there mind off daily stress so that they can focus in the classroom and put there mind in a relaxed state while learning.
