My students need these basic school supplies, including crayons, markers, construction paper and glue sticks, so they are less stressed when they come to school knowing they will have all they need to do their work when they get here!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, all of the students in my class are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Because of this, I am looking to provide them with everything they need to make their education a creative and meaningful learning experiences.
If one thing is true, my students come to school eager to learn each day.
Because of this I am looking to already have all the appropriate supplies for them in the classroom so it is one less thing for them to worry about.
To do so, I am asking for help in getting basic school supplies such as pencils, markers, crayons, glue sticks and scissors. If I can already have these available for them, they can come to school less stressed about how they are going to complete their assignments.
My Project
January/February is when the school supplies start to run low in the classroom. These supplies include pencils, markers and crayons, glue, scissors, paper and other items. Instead of asking students to bring in the supplies, it would be helpful to already have these supplies available for them. My students will use these supplies to complete their work creatively and neatly. With thee supplies I can create engaging and enjoyable lessons that will keep the students interested and want to continue learning. The other materials included in this project are to house the supplies in an effort to keep them clean and last longer.
