This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

I work with a lot of students who struggle with their fine motor skills, which further impacts their prewriting abilities. Because fine motor is such a challenge for my students, they need extra practice every day. In order to effectively address these deficits, we do small group center activities in which all kids rotate through. At the stations students will be able to strengthen their skills by using items such as unifix cubes, snapping lamas , play dough, sorting and lacing activities .

To increase their engagement, I have created this project so we can have several updated and exciting activities for our enters.

These activities motivate them to work harder on their fine motor skills.

I would like to have enough activities so that we can switch them out frequently to make them more enjoyable for the students. These materials will help them build their fine motor skills, prepare them for the future, and build their writing skills.
