My students need Buckle, Lace, & Tie Dressing Frames, Geostix, Easy-Punch Alphabet letters, and other hands-on materials to strengthen their fine motor skills.
Kindergartners come into school so eager to learn every day. For a lot of my students, this is their first time in a classroom setting. I want to help my students reach their highest potential in my classroom by providing them with all of the necessary tools to do so.
At this age, children learn and grow so much each day.
I believe that creating a positive learning experience for these students will transfer into their feelings about school for years to come.
My Project
An important part of early childhood is developing strong fine motor skills. In kindergarten, students need to strengthen their fine motor skills in order to complete daily tasks, such as writing and tying their shoes.
I would like to provide my students with the hands-on materials they need in order to strengthen these skills.
The Easy-Punch Alphabet will be a great tool because students will be able to use the letters to spell sight words while building these skills. The tweezers, letter activity centers, and letter beads will also help strengthen their fine motor skills while learning to read and spell in literacy centers, and the Geostix will help during their math centers. Also, the Buckle, Lace, and Tie Dressing Frames will help my students who are still in the early stages of learning how to tie their shoes.
