My Students
My inner city students come from various backgrounds. We are a Title 1 school where our students receive 100% free breakfast and lunch. My students are truly treasures. They are kind, respectful, passionate, hardworking and helpful.
They have been very resilient, patient and driven even during these difficult times of learning remotely through Google Classroom.
They make me so proud and happy to be their teacher.
My Project
I am so excited to have this project funded so I can complete the street art murals with my students. My ideas is that we will be working on artful solutions to water pollution.
This Runoff Art is designed to bring awareness to stormwater runoff and the harmful impacts that pollutants have on our waterways. We will be creating runoff art around our school storm drains and in our general school zone area. In order to get our students excited and eager to complete this project we will have speakers who have knowledge of the topic and all we will need now are the supplies to complete the art.
