Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

We are a very small town with a very low socioeconomic population. My students are curious, and ready to learn. I love that my students are eager to hear and see more about the world around them.

My students have not lost their love of learning.

They are creative and funny. My students are so special because they excited to come to school each day. I would like to foster and nourish that excitement with as many possibilities as we can offer them.

I am trying to increase my proximity to each and every child by creating a collaborative environment of a shared table for each group. So that I can effectively sit with each group for a few minutes during each activity. I will also be able to eliminate clutter by utilizing these same tables as centers and differentiated learning groups.

My Project

These 2 tables will replace our old outdated individual desks. They will allow for me the facilitator to be situated in the middle of each and every group as I work my way around the room helping students. It will allow for a more streamlined and focused centers time.

By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their small group activities especially.

Which will cultivate a more focused classroom environment. This will exponentially increase academic learning.

These tables will be used for students learning as well as centers areas including reading groups.
