Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My school serves students from pre-k through 5th grade. It is a Title I school and is located in a high-poverty area. The students in my school love to play, run, sing, dance, and learn!
Curious, energetic, fun-loving, and sweet; my students come to school each day ready for a new adventure.
They come from all walks of life and many have been through more than I care to imagine. My goal is to provide a safe, welcoming, and fun place for them to come and learn, grow, and thrive.
My students are kind and caring, and they deserve nothing but the best!
My Project
We are busy, busy learners and we are always in need of more supplies. We need pencils so my student authors can continue writing their stories and solving their math problems. We need dry erase markers and erasers so we can quickly solve problems, have competitions, and increase our learning and participation to be the best learners we can be. We use colored paper and glue sticks weekly to create projects that enhance our learning.
My students work hard, and their families do, too.
Asking for donations is not always possible, because most often, they are giving all that they can. By December, we are running very low on supplies. These items would benefit our classroom in so many ways!
