Storytelling With Legos

Help me give my students creativity and imaginative storytelling language development with this unique and engaging storytelling set.

My Students

My students attend a publicly funded Pre-K classroom that is housed in a public elementary school site. We currently have forty students split among 2 half-day classes. Both AM and PM classes have typical students and students with special needs. The class combination provides a strong sense of community. We are close with the children and their families because many of my students will enter the school district where their siblings attend and our site is located. Many of our children have been in class together since age 3 creating many interesting close relationships and will continue throughout grade school.

My Project

This Early Learning set with 90 LEGO DUPLO® elements will promote my students' social and emotional development and early math skills. It includes 40 wild animals, farm animals, and pets, plus 4 double-sided building inspiration cards depicting 8 different habitats, to help students learn what animals need to survive and how they differ in a safe and playful learning environment.

Promoting this kind of creativity through imaginative storytelling will develop my students' language skills!

This unique and engaging storytelling set will encourage students to naturally collaborate and develop speaking and listening skills as they build their stories and role-play.
