I have the privilege of teaching Kindergarten at an International Baccalaureate World School, which is also a proud Title I school. Our school is a wonderful community of diverse families that support one another. My students are multicultural, fun-loving, active five-year olds! And, like any other Kindergarteners, they love to learn, move, play, and explore.
We have many international students, English Language Learners, and seventy-five percent of the student population receives free or reduced lunch.
I want to give them every opportunity to succeed, and your donations help make that possible.
My Project
I would love to have these 12 storytelling kits to use with my Kindergarten students! Each storytelling kit includes some of their favorite books and characters that we study throughout the school year. I would love to be able to have the stories really come to life with these puppets and story elements. I plan to use these kits to teach my students how to retell a story, how to sequence, notice setting and characters, identify beginning middle and end, and so much more! The best part would be the students would really be engaged during shared reading and they would love to practice their speaking and listening skills while retelling each precious book!
