This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
Our youngest students are so eager to learn about books! You can help fill our library with the laughter that erupts when we retell our favorite books and... build a future reader!
Kids feel like part of the "literacy club" when they can confidently retell stories we have read together, primarily when those books represent the rich diversity of our school.
These props will have DOUBLE DUTY in the library. First, they will support students as the book is read aloud, then pairs of students can giggle along as they retell the stories.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
