Help me give my students captivating literature. The Storybooks for Learning Centers Paperback Library will give my children access to books that directly relate to our center themes that build the foundational skills of prekindergarten.
Our Pre-K classroom is located in the heart of North Buffalo. We have recently opened our building as a true community school for neighborhood children and children in the district. We provide monthly opportunities to invite parents and our community into our classrooms. The children are curious and excited to learn and I like to provide them with every opportunity to learn and discover new things. My goal is to provide them with the materials they need to further their development and learning.
My Project
Building a developmentally appropriate library full of quality, lively, and engaging literature helps build the foundational skills of prekindergarten.
We put great emphasis on building a strong social-emotional base in our classroom.
Providing my children with ample literature that promotes these skills, would give them the words to use when interacting with their peers. We focus greatly on what feelings are, what they feel like in our own body and how to recognize it, and what they look like on their friends faces. Reading aloud to children builds an extensive vocabulary, exposes them to letters, language acquisition, and facilitate their learning to read!
