My Students

Every morning my students meet me in a live chat room ready to learn. All of my students come from different backgrounds and home lives; however, they know that our google meet is a safe place to grow and learn.

I have sixteen wonderful students in my kindergarten class.

All of my students are hard workers, respectful, and responsible. They are driven to learn and love hands-on activities. As their teacher, I want to give them every opportunity possible.

My Project

During a Fairy Tale unit we will read and discuss different storybook classics like 3 Billy Goats Gruff, The Little Red Hen, The Gingerbread Man, Rapunzel and even more. My students will then help different characters come up with problem solving strategies to help them in the story. The students will be using simple machine concepts. These concepts include learning about a wedge, incline planes, wheel and axle, lever and also exploring chain reactions. The duration of this project can be revisited all year or a four week unit that builds upon the next and eventually leading to a chain reaction. These hands-on activities make learning fun in the kindergarten classroom and remote learning.
