My Students

After being flooded on the first day of school in 2011, we were displaced for 5 years and are now in our new building. We are starting a brand new STEAM Lab/Maker Space and will need a lot of materials for the students to complete several 20% Genius projects. Our Pre-K-2 students will be participating in these projects throughout the year. Our students love to create, research, and make wonderful projects. I wish for the program to be a huge success and most of all for the students enjoy their learning in Science Technology Engineering Agriculture/Art and Math!

My Project

Students will listen to STEM Storybooks - positive mentor texts that are relevant today for our future leaders to learn about STEAM. Then they will choose a correlating challenge project that fosters creativity, innovation, intrinsic motivation and most of all enhanced learning.

Each student will come up with an idea, research it, experiment and build it with items like glitter glue and magnets.

The best way to increase STEAM creativity is to build more, and these science, technology, engineering, agricultural/art and math challenges will provide future leaders the skill sets necessary to thrive.

STEM Storybooks and the challenges are guaranteed to to engage all students and will help enrich their experiences with inventiveness, imagination, innovation and originality!
