Help me give my students Flex-Space Comfy Floor Seating! Our library currently does not have an area where students can listen to stories or engage in independent reading with that "at-home" feeling.
When you come to my school and you ask the students where is the place to be, they will all say "THE LIBRARY!" Whether you're a Kinder or a 5th grader, my kids love to tinker, to create, to imagine, to discover, and to explore the world around them! What better place to do this than the Library?
Each week we spark our inspiration and imagination through an awesome story, where an adventure awaits!
Our stories instill experiences that they can either relate to or never thought possible -- whether they are fiction or non-fiction.
Our school is like a mini-United Nations! Our students come from all walks of life and bring with them: creativity, spontaneity, and a thirst for the next great challenge! Whether it's 1st graders building houses for the 3 Little Pigs, paper airplane challenges, cup towers, origami, K'Nex, and so much more, our kids just want more!
While I will admit that I try to buy a lot of my supplies; somethings that I just can't do! So I am counting on you to get us there!
My Project
If you ask anyone what they loved most about library; the two things that come to mind is story time and having a space to read quietly, that not only feels like home, but will also transport them to a place of adventure and awe!
Currently, our library has no such place!
Our students sadly sit on the floor where comfort is no option and the focus is not on the story being read. With your help, our library can be transformed into a place where books not only come to life; but also a place where our students can call home!
