My Students
My students are so excited about learning. They love hands-on discovery and learning. As the library media specialist, I try to engage students in the love of literature through meaningful activities to make connections.
Students at my school engage in maker space activities in the library each week.
They love these "brain breaks" from the regular classroom. They are so engaged in working at their tables with their fellow students. They often can't wait to show me what they have made or what product they may have produced.
My Project
With your help my students will be focused on story telling and creating. The use of the LEGO story tales kit will let students continue the story long after I am finished reading about the characters. They will be engaged and use the setting and characters from the story that was read during class to either retell the story or continue the story in their own way.
The Creative LEGO brick set will have students using their imaginations to build rockets, boats and much more to show their creative side during our maker space time.
Students will be so engaged in the activities in the media center they will never want to leave.
