My students are an amazing group of caring, funny, and kind 6-year-olds. They are a diverse group; many students having special needs and most are English language learners. They all come from very different home environments. Some of my students are lucky enough to live with their parents and siblings, while others may live with their grandparents or other guardians while their parents are out of state for work.
Many of my students tend to lack resources, experience, and exposure from home, so it is important for me to provide them with experiences that are both academic and fun.
My Project
We have been so fortunate to have many iPads funded on DonorsChoose.org for our classroom. We use them for various subject areas in ways that are both fun and academic.
However, one of the biggest challenges has been finding the perfect way to charge and store them in a way that is easy for my students to access.
Luckily when browsing the Lakeshore website, as teachers love to do, I came across the Tech Tub2 and I think it could be the perfect fit! It is not too large and can easily fit on top of a shelf (and mounted if needed). It can fit all six of our iPads AND we can charge them in the same place. In addition, it is portable so it can be moved around easily if needed and also locks to keep our tech safe and sound.
DonorsChoose is the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
As a teacher-founded nonprofit, we're trusted by thousands of teachers and supporters across the country. This classroom request for funding was created by Ms. Brittany and reviewed by the DonorsChoose team.
