Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The students at my school are eager to learn and grow and work collaboratively to build a community.
My students attend a high poverty school in which all of the students qualify for free lunch.
My students are eager learners despite some of the difficult challenges they face on a daily basis. Most of my students are fascinated by the world of science and love to explore and watch as things grow, change, adapt, and evolve.
One of our students' favorite parts of the day is our Morning Meeting time where we spend time together building community and learning how to get along, work together, and become family at school.
My Project
The baskets and bins requested in this project will be a vessel to store all of our newly purchased and received through DonorsChoose.org reading and art center materials.
We are excited and eager to use all of our new reading and art materials during center time, but need bins and baskets for organization in order to make this happen!
In Kindergarten, we are working hard to learn our letter names and sounds, and these baskets will allow us to choose a center that specifically works on these skills. We are also learning about color and line in relation to creating art projects. The baskets will be used to store our paints, markers, crayons, paper scraps, etc. so we can create marvelous projects.
