My Students
My students are some of the most hard-working, motivated, polite, and kind young individuals I have had the opportunity to know and work with!
These kids are special, and deserve a classroom they can really thrive in.
They enter the room everyday full of energy and ready for the opportunity to put their minds to work and show what they are capable of! They consistently show support through collaboration and communication, and there is no end to their creative abilities!
My Project
As I continue to grow as a teacher, I have become more aware of the need for flexible seating in my classroom. Allowing students to learn in a way that engages their mind, and empowers their variety of thinking processes should be a main focus of every teacher.
However, storage and organization has been a huge hurdle with applying a flexible environment in my classroom.
Incorporating flexible seating slowly limits organization of student supplies, and inevitably leads to a chaotic and messy environment. This affects the efficiency and potential for productivity in the classroom.
These two storage units will allow students to continue to have a place to store their belongings and resources that would traditionally go inside a desk, while supporting an environment that targets the learning needs of all students and learners. The storage units are sturdy, decent size, and easy to clean, which makes them ideal for an elementary classroom.
