My students come from rural North Carolina. Lost learning has affected everyone in the last year in a half, my students included, but they are here and eager to try every day. Eager to succeed. I teach in a low-income area where all schools qualify for 100% free lunch. My third graders are reading to learn about the world around them at this age rather than just learning to read. I'm here to help them reach their goals in reading, grammar, mathematics, science, and social studies.
Phonics and literacy learning and mastery have been missed by many in the last 18 months and my students are no exception.
Along with our third grade standards, we are spending much time every single day trying to make up for the missed learning; working so hard to master skills needed for reading proficiency.

My Project
We had so many wonderful supplies that we need an efficient place to store everything so we can find it when we need it. With so many games, literature connections, and tools in one room means time sometimes gets wasted while students find the one they need. These storage solutions will help keep myself and my students using our time for educational purposes rather than digging around the closet to find something. Please help us get organized.
