Help me give my students more storage for their belongings. Having 34 students and only enough storage for 24 of them makes for a crowded, cluttered classroom.

My Students

My students are wonderful! They are inquisitive, interested, and willing to work hard. With 3 different 5th grade classes, there are over 99 students. We are departmentalized, so we get to know each and every student. The students come from various backgrounds, many speaking multiple languages, which makes for a unique classroom.

As in every classroom, the learning styles vary with each individual student.

However, this class excels when it come to hands-on activities. They love to work collaboratively to try to investigate issues or solve problems.

My Project

Storage bins will help keep the students organized and create extra room for classroom materials and books. With 102 students coming and going throughout the day, more storage can help cut down on transition time. When every student knows where their stuff goes and belongs, this helps speed up transitions, thus giving more time for learning content. A messy environment can cause a disruption and distractions. A organized classroom can help students learn to be organized with their own belongings.

We have large class sizes, 34 students per class, and only enough room for 24 students to put their school materials and personal belongings in.
