My Students
Specialized preschool is such an exciting group of mixed needs, abilities, and goals. Some of my students are learning to recognize letters and numbers, while some of their classmates are learning to read. Our group loves to work together, play outside, and dance to all sorts of different songs.
We are part of an awesome school community that celebrates diversity.
I teach in a group of eight different preschool classrooms, one VPK, two specialized, three intensive, and one intensive behavior. All students at my school have an IEP. The goal for my classroom is for my students to leave the ESE setting and join a mainstream kindergarten classroom. My classroom is about building skills to get included. The work we do in this classroom is building relationships, staying with the group, following directions, and accessing general education content in different ways. We celebrate little wins together each day.
My Project
My classroom has been so blessed receiving gifts from DonorsChoose.org in the past, and now we are in desperate need of storage for our classroom and a cart to bring our donations outside with us!
The storage bins and the sports cart will help us take our manipulatives outside so my children can learn in the sunshine!
We love to take our classroom experience outside of four walls and we are planting a sensory garden this fall. This cart will help us bring the classroom outside! I am excited to make learning fun for my children this school year!
