Help me give my students two FlexSpace Mobile Storage Bin Centers to ensure we have enough storage space for all our socially distanced materials in our classroom!
This year will look a little different than last year, which looked vastly different than the prior years of teaching! Currently, our school is looking at a hybrid model for learning - meaning students will participate in both online and in-person learning and instruction. This presents a unique set of needs and opportunities for learning and teaching! I am looking forward to all the fun we will have this year in first grade, no matter the model, and know that I will do everything I can to provide the best educational learning experience possible to my students.
Each child in my classroom absolutely loves learning, although the method and environment in which they learn best vary greatly.
We incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group work, and alternative seating and learning options to ensure that each student's needs are met, right where they are! These will continue as students work through distance learning, and are able to share their work back with us remotely!
My Project
This year has looked a bit different in terms of the storage of materials in our classroom space. One thing that would make an incredible difference would be having more space to store our individual supplies in our classroom. Some of our current storage is held together with a makeshift assortment of tape and extra nails, and it isn't very durable for the amount it is currently getting used by students.
Looking around our classroom, it would be wonderful to have 'a place for everything and everything in it's place'.
These mobile storage carts would provide storage for our individual book boxes and individual math toolkits - ensuring that students are able to keep their supplies separate and organized. Storage isn't one of the first things I'd often think of as a 'must-have' for a classroom need, but when I spent time sitting and thinking of what would truly make a difference in my classroom, storage was at the top of the list, as it's something we truly do need to make sure that students are able to access their supplies easily and without adding to the spread of germs.
