I teach students with special needs ranging from Autism Spectrum Disorder to learning disabilities. Our students attend a Title I (low income) school where most students come from struggling backgrounds.
Limited resources on top of learning and/ or developmental difficulties put our children at a disadvantage.
Although my students have difficulties that impact them academically, they also have a wide range of abilities and accomplishments. When provided the opportunity our students rise to meet our expectations. Our students are hard-working, well behaved and above all they are children. They have big dreams and innocent hearts. As their teacher, my goal is to help facilitate reaching their goals and to make sure they have fun along the way.
This year we were fortunate enough to receive some much needed hands-on learning tools. New learning tools like these are hard to come by, and we want to keep them in good condition as long as possible. While we are so thankful for these new resources, we are now in need of a storage cabinet as our classroom storage is limited. We are asking for your support in purchasing a keyless, locking cabinet to keep in our building's hallway so that our materials have a place for safekeeping and teachers can access the materials whenever they need them. Thank you for your help!
