My students need a large mailbox area to store their supplies. We do not have desks and the students need somewhere to store their notebooks, binders, and supplies.
Being clean is the thing! An organized classroom is easier to learn in and we are a mess right now! These large mailbox areas will help us keep all our supplies organized!
I have 26 students in my 4th grade classroom and they are all very eager to learn.
They are a diverse group and have been excited for all the new challenges fourth grade will bring. At our school students all sit at tables and my classroom (I am a new teacher to the school) does not have any place for students to store their supplies. Notebooks, journals, math books and supplies are everywhere!
My Project
I am hoping we can organize the room and keep each students' supplies in their own large mailbox area. Currently all students share baskets that stay on the floor by their table and papers are a mess and the students must search through everyone's supplies to find their own. Students will be able to keep their supplies all organized in their own area helping us with more learning time and less time wasted looking through baskets full of everyone's supplies. Also, because I have a class full of students and tables, baskets laying on the ground are getting tripped over, stepped on and spilled. We need organization with supplies!
I have watched the frustration of many students this year try to find their supplies in a basket full of supplies.
This process is frustrating especially when their work is crumpled or torn after being placed in a basket full of many supplies. I am POSITIVE the students will be happy to have space to put their own things and these Safco Wood Mail Sorters, large mailboxes are just what we need! Clean is the thing!
