Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
We are a Title I, at risk school with 100% free breakfast and lunch. In addition to the free breakfast and lunch, we also provide a snack of fresh fruits and vegetables and dinner for over 300 of our students. For many of our students this is the only substantial food that they will receive.
Many of our students are English language learners and do not speak English at home.
Our students are very bright, but don't have the resources to always do all that they are capable of in the classroom.
My Project
I meet with over 500 students ever 6 days and every day I conduct up to 6 different experiments with different grade levels. With that being said, I have to be prepped ahead of time for every class with all the materials needed for the experiments, the only way I can do that is with storage bins.
An even easier way is to have colored bins that are matched to the students groups so that students know exactly what bins to get for their materials for their experiments.
