Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are 5-7 years old. They are charming, ready to learn. Our school is a Title I school - low income school in San Antonio, Texas.
My Students: I am a kinder/1st grade teacher in a Title 1 school.
Many of my students do not have books to read at home. Little by little I have had the opportunity to collect thematic units’ books for the library center. I would like for my students to be exposed to a wide variety of books. The library center needs a book center to organize the books. This will facilitate the students to have easy access to all books.
My Project
Currently, some of the classroom books are in plastic containers. When my students visit the library center, it is difficult for them to find the books and they also take too long to find the books that they want to read. It is very important for young children to have an organized classroom. The library center needs to be organized so the students can have an easy access to all the books.
Right now it is very difficult to order school supplies due to budget cuts.
Your generous donation would help my students to have an organized classroom. Thank you for considering this proposal.
