My Students

So many children rely on their listening skills to help them succeed in the classroom. My children with disabilities love listening to music and sounds. These audiobook resources would be amazing to have in the classroom in addition to the other great books my children love to read.

I teach a great group of students ages 8-12.

They are all students with disabilities in a full time inclusion program. Every one of my students are very different from each other but the one thing that they ALL LOVE are audiobooks! They thrive off of listening to sounds and music. What a great way to get my children to read... add sounds to them!

My Project

My students need a compiled set of audio books to listen and read along with in my resource room. The audiobooks will place my children on the road to improving their reading ability, vocabulary and comprehension. Audiobooks will be a fantastic way for my students to become engaged in reading! My hope with these audio books is to give students who are struggling with their reading and comprehension a chance to listen to a text and make meaning from it.

This project would be a great tool and literacy enhancement for my students learning needs.

With the use of the audiobooks, my children will enjoy reading and improve their fluency while doing it!
