My students need tissues, Lysol wipes, Band Aids and lots of hand soap to keep them healthy this winter season! This winter season attendance has been decreasing because students are getting sick from each other.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My class is a family. A family of twenty-seven diverse students from various backgrounds. Many of my children come to school each day with unfinished homework, hungry bellies, and a desire to learn. As a teacher, I want my second grade students to have every possibility available for them. I work hard and supply my students with all the resources they need to meet every standard for the year.
Working in a Title One school, it is not uncommon for students to come to school late, come to school with no supplies, and come to school already below grade level.
My school has limited supplies and resources which they give each teacher but sometimes each class needs more for their students needs. My integrated co-taught class is made up of sixty percent general education students and forty percent special needs children. Each student in my class needs different attention and resources. I believe that every student should have the same opportunities to learn and achieve greatness.
My Project
Attendance is a key to keeping students on grade level. This winter attendance keeps dropping because students are catching each others germs. Keeping the classroom a healthy place for students is costly since most of these supplies have been used by this point in the school year.
This project will help keep students healthy as well as happy to come to school each day.
This project will allow students to enter a germ free, and clean classroom each day. Snacks will fill their bellies with the energy needed to keep them motivated. Each day that students are in school is keeping them on track to staying on grade level.
