My Students

My students need to be comfortable in our classroom with cozy and soft places to read around the room. Being comfortable is important in developing reading stamina.

My students are beautiful, sweet 1st graders who love to read!

We attend a neighborhood school. We are a culturally diverse school that services a variety of socioeconomic populations. Our school values the importance of solid, early literacy development.

My Project

Imagine trying to read on a cold, tiled floor on a cold Minnesota day! The soft seats will allow students a warm, clean, and soft place to read all around our classroom. My students will develop the healthy habit of reading stamina while in a cozy place.

Students have developed habits at home, whether it be watching T.V.

from a couch or playing in a sand box. This project will give children the chance to develop the healthy habit of reading daily in a comfortable place.
