Help me give my students new picture books to build up our classroom library; my students have grown to LOVE Eric Carle, Elephant and Piggie books, and Henry & Mudge.
I am lucky enough to spend my day learning from amazing little first grade learners! At our school, 78.5% of our student population is considered economically disadvantaged, but that does not stop our students from doing amazing things!
The children in my classroom range from many different ethnicities and backgrounds, which I feel makes our classroom unique and awesome!
As their teacher, I not only feel the need to meet their academic needs, but also their social-emotional and physical needs as well!
My Project
My students are growing into amazing little readers, but are starting to get a little bored with our book selection in our classroom library. Our books are starting to get worn from being used year after year.
Please help me keep their SPARK for reading alive, by helping us get new picture books in our classroom library.
I mean, what's more exciting than NEW books to read? My students have really grown to love Eric Carle, Mo Willems, and Henry and Mudge books. From experiences with my own children, I know that these new sets will help keep their desire to read going strong. Introducing children to book series that interest them really encourages them to want to keep reading, which is why I feel these sets would be a great addition to our classroom!
