My Students

I teach every single student in our rural school district. We have 350 learners in Four-Year-Old Kindergarten through 12th grade. My students are enthusiastic and open to learning about new things, whether that is finding a new book, researching a new culture, trying a new technology, or any host of lessons.

My students are hard workers, risk takers, and are always open to possibilities.

I am the school library media specialist in our two buildings. We foster reading and creativity in our library spaces, along with connections to the classroom curriculum. Most of my students travel to school on at least one gravel road but we come together every single day for learning, fun, and adventure!

My Project

Students in our school libraries are always working together. They collaborate on school work from their teachers, library projects, and before and after school activities. Having whiteboard tables will allow students space to brainstorm, prepare, and execute their school work, particularly in groups.

Putting whiteboard tables in the library will give students the freedom to brainstorm, collaborate, and share their knowledge.

Students (as well as staff and community members!) use the library space for a wide variety of reasons and whiteboard tables will go a long way!

Our school is open concept so our library space does not have any walls for traditional whiteboards or even bulletin boards. Having these tables would allow for both collaborative work and teaching.
