This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I work in a Title 1 school in a high need area. Most of the elementary students that attend our school are homeless, live in trailers, motels, with family, or in government housing. We work hard to make the school a safe and secure place for them. These are smart, kind, and hardworking students who are overcoming many challenges outside of school and are trying to SOAR in their classrooms. They deserve the best to accomplish their goals and dreams.

My Project

My students need stools! My class is constantly collaborating and need stools to move around the room. The stools will help those that need a choice to move around the ability to do so. Right now they have only one stool that everyone wants. It would be wonderful if they had more available to them.

My students will be able to pick one of these items and move around their classroom to create their own space according to their needs.

The stools will be well used in my classroom. The stools will be perfect when they want to sit with a group of their peers without a table.
