My Students

Working in a Title 1 school with a large migrant population is challenging when it comes to resources. However, my students are energetic and love learning new things. They work hard towards their goals and genuinely want to succeed in order to become better students as well as find their passions. As fifth graders, they want to be excited about a new topic and need a variety of resources and tools in order to stay engaged and keep striving for higher goals.

My Project

Our classroom is small for over 22 5th graders. Having smaller chairs that will fit under the desks will help to free up space. Students will have more room for activities and will limit them bumping into each other. The extra space will also allow for more computers and technology to be placed in the classroom. More technology and more space will enhance how much students learn.

With new stools, the students will have the option of choosing how they sit during lessons.

This will allow them to feel more confident while they are doing their work because they will be comfortable.
