Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our bilingual classroom is full of very creative and hard-working students who are curious about the world and are self-motivated learners!
At our school and in our classroom, our goal is to develop mindful leaders who take action both now and in the future to positively impact their communities and the world beyond.
Using a foundation of academic knowledge and global-mindedness each student will create a life of possibility and contribute to a more peaceful and just society. My kids are passionate and creative who love to curl up with a book and be transported into different worlds, from that of Pete the Cat to the Pyrenees Mountains. We will ignite a movement to create a better world. We will transform our educational systems by being an incubator of innovation.
My Project
A diverse group of learners needs a diverse learning space! Standard desks and chairs do not meet the needs of every student. Expecting all students to learn the same is unrealistic. Creating flexible seating is essential to student learning and engagement.
My project will create a student centered classroom that is necessary to keep students engaged.
These seats will accommodate the diverse learning needs of students. The non-traditional chairs are for students that need to move and will allow for more collaboration and will engage the entire class in learning. With nature inspired stools, our kiddos will be able to have choice in where they work.
