Help me give my students the opportunity to gain skills needed to participate in life long activities and sports by helping me purchase equipment needed to master important fitness components and important motor skills for personal fitness success.
I am a K-6th grade PE teacher at an Elementary School in Clay County, Florida. At our school our mission is to work collaboratively with all stakeholders to provide a public education experience that is motivating, challenging, and rewarding for all children. We will increase student achievement by providing students with learning opportunities that are rigorous, relevant and transcend beyond the boundaries of the school walls. We will ensure a working and learning environment built upon honesty, integrity, and respect. Through these values, we will maximize student potential and promote individual responsibility.
To keep up with the demand on student achievement I believe it is my job as their PE teacher to provide the students with the proper equipment for optimal learning on how to live a long healthy life.
My Project
The balance boards, balance domes, river stones and a create your way balance beam will be used to assist in motor skill with student K-6th grade. By teaching these skills our students will gain the confidence needed to perform activities and sports to last a lifetime. In order to begin this process in our school we need to build our PE program to meet current Physical Education standards.
