My spectacular second grade students are thinkers as I like to call them and come from all over the world. Many of them speak another language at home. Of my 18 students, seven are ELL (English Language Learners) and more than 65% qualify for free or reduced-price breakfast and lunch. Our school is located in an urban setting just steps away from the beach and serves a wide variety of students from diverse cultures and countries.
They are a very creative, detail-oriented, and focused group of thinkers who love to build, paint, write and encourage each other.
This year my students are very eager and truly enjoy STEM and hands-on project-based learning! These students are a very focused group who love to incorporate technology in their day. My students are learning how to use T.E.A.M (Together Everyone Achieves More) to communicate and help support one another! We can accomplish so much when we work as a TEAM!
My Project
I could really use your help! Funds are extremely low for the upcoming school year. The laminating pouches would help me preserve student writing and their works of art. The mini dry erasers, black sharpies, and pencil pouches would allow me to cross those specific items from our student school supply list. After this pandemic many parents are going to struggle with purchasing school supplies for their children.
