My Project

Our county school is nestled in the country surrounded by pasture and cow fields, and our students are eager in their quest to explore how things work together in the world around them. The school as a whole has a tenacious work ethic and my 7th and 8th grade students have a reputation for accepting challenges and breaking barriers.

These hardworking, tech-savvy, data-loving students deserve experiences with professional equipment as they prepare for a data-driven and computer-based future and your donation will provide different lab and safety materials to replenish our stock for next year so the students can lab themselves!

Egg drops? We strap an accelerometer to the egg and measure the force they hit the ground with. Bridges? We set strict parameters, follow budgets, and run controlled tests. Basketball? We map out Newton's Laws for any moment in a game. Catapults? We measure the most efficient angles for various precision shots. While the students work, they compete to make the best data table and most precise graph. Anyone watching our students know that they are serious about their task of learning and exploring the world in real-time. Help give them the opportunity to explore with tools that easily and instantly bring that four-letter word into their hands and classroom: DATA!
