"So, what are we going to do today?" In my class, each day is filled with a variety of activities designed to gain the attention of as many students as possible. Seventh grade is a year of exploration and investigation.
My students are readers and writers with interests that range from saving the earth to exploring distant galaxies.
In English and reading, I strive to provide these young adults with opportunities to learn about the world in which they live and teach them how to express their views and share their knowledge with others.
My Project
My students have a list of supplies that they are supposed to have with them at all times. However, even the most organized of us make mistakes from time to time. Pencils get lost. The last sheet of paper gets used. The pencil eraser gets worn away.
In order to maintain a classroom that flows smoothly with as little interruption as possible, I want to keep my cupboards stocked with basic supplies such as pencils, paper, erasers, index cards, and other necessities so that students can perform to the best of their abilities even if they do not have their own supplies for that day.
These classroom supplies are not intended to replace the required supply list, but they will be used to enhance the day-to-day operation of our class. My goal is to make sure that no one in my classroom ever has to go without anything that they need to succeed!
