Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Our school is part of a low socioeconomic status community where we believe in celebrating our student growth and success. Our students love to learn and are very competitive.

As my students make gains in my classroom, they begin to try spending small chunks of the day with their typically developing peers.

My classroom is about building skills and improving our reading. The work we do in this classroom is improving our test scores and reading level. We celebrate little wins together each day!

My Project

The cleaning supplies will be useful to keep a safe environment for students this season. Covid has really had an effect in the classroom. I need these supplies to keep students safe and to continue to sanitize the room.

Technology will be integrated by engaging students with answer buzzers and having a handheld Fire tablet to give students points for good behavior, easy access to Class Dojo, and communicating with parents.

All the materials needed will be used to benefit the students. The students will be excited about the supplies that will be donated to the classroom. Students will use these materials in the classroom daily.
