This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This is my first year as a Special Education teacher at a high school and I have been doing my best to create a space where my students feel confident to be themselves and have a space to decompress throughout the day. I would like to have a cozy corner that provides a quiet space with materials that can help meet their sensory needs to maximize their learning time during instruction and teachers pay teachers gift card. I also desire to have an art space than can help my students channel their emotions through various artistic mediums. Every student is so unique and have very different needs, which is why I would like to provide my students with more than just one means to meet their needs productively.
