Help me give my students a new rug, flexible seating, early literacy instruction and hands-on art/STEM projects to aid in their personal and academic growth.

Our school is in a low income area where students lack sufficient resources to reach academic success. 100% of the students receive free lunch. My students live in a high poverty neighborhood and many of the adults in their lives are unable to provide sufficient help. Many of my students fall at the Pre-K level academically and are in need of intensive instruction. They are the sweetest, most lovable kids of all time and they have a deep desire to learn and grow! However, we lack the sufficient resources to aid that growth.
This project aims to support students on their road to mastering early literacy by getting books and materials that focus on basic sight words and phonics. The pandemic had a very negative impact on my students' academic levels, pushing them several steps back in their education. I know that they are capable and they impress me every day, but it is critical that as their teacher, I meet each of them where they are academically, meaning I need the right materials. These early literacy books and tools will help teach students how to read and comprehend literature, building their inner confidence
Further, hands-on art and STEM projects will assist students in strengthening fine motor skills, their ability to work with others, and simply, an arena in which students can engage with their creative side and build newfound confidence.
The repercussions of the pandemic didn't just stunt the academic growth of our students, but their socio-emotional growth as well. SEL is an integral part of a student's academic and personal journey, making it nothing short of critical that students continue to build strong relationships with peers and self. Many of my students have a love and deep interest in art, however, we lack an art class. I believe that the use of art projects helps to stimulate our students' minds and helps them find new areas of success. It is also a very positive and productive emotional outlet.
My pedagogical perspective will always be rooted in the notion that the classroom is like a second home, so it must be inviting, safe, secure, and the desired space to be. Adding in new books, bringing in cozy areas, such as a class carpet and flex seating, as well as art projects, will assist in building students intrinsic motivation to
