Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The students I serve are bilingual, bi-literate, motivated individuals. With an eagerness to learn and explore, the students I teach are ready to take on new challenges and projects to enhance their learning career. These students need a print-rich environment that supports their learning. In addition, my students are asked to create projects during their winter and spring breaks that help them have hands-on experiences with their families.
Students are encouraged to collaborate through working in small groups to create anchor or literary charts during lessons.
This project based learning develops their social and developmental skills.

Distance Learning has become the new norm and my students need to have the same learning opportunity as if we were still in the classroom.
The Post-It easel pads are an essential part of our everyday learning.
We use the pads and whiteboard to share ideas, create graphic organizers and have gallery walks which enhance communication amongst my students. Having these items will enable me to continue creating visuals for the students while they are learning from afar. These materials are consumable and will be used for several subject areas.
