Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Honestly, my 5th graders are amazing. I have two classes of amazing children with bold personalities and needs. They come to school not only to get their education and improve their reading, but also to know that they are cared for and someone sees the best in them.
These children deserve the best educational experience possible.
In order to have that, many need a refresh in supplies and materials to make reading better. As we approach the halfway point in the school year, most of their supplies are used up.
My Project
My students need glue sticks in order to glue material into their learning notebooks. They need to be able to have everything in place so that they can look back at previous lessons when they get stuck.
These children also need new pencils that won't break easily every time they go to write something.
The Ticonderoga pencils will not only allow them to write, but also to erase mistakes with ease. Additionally, my students need index cards to help when organizing their thoughts and wrapping up their lessons.
These basic classroom essentials will help my students as they finish off their last year in elementary school.
