My Students

I teach in a low-income, high poverty district. Over 90% of our students receive free or reduced-price lunch based on their socioeconomic backgrounds.

Although my students may not have the best, I know that they can be the best.

They have an eagerness to learn that fills my classroom with energy. Being an Oklahoma teacher in these times is a very difficult situation. Since our classrooms do not have the funding needed to supply my students with materials that will excite them, I am making it my mission to find the materials to keep the momentum of excitement in my classroom continuous.

My Project

My students are in need of some basic classroom materials.

I try to make class fun for my students by making it interactive.

My students need notebooks and glue sticks for their interactive notebooks that they keep throughout the year. I also like to keep my students engaged by having them work problems on a dry erase board during the lesson.

With 85 students we use a lot of these materials! Many of my students are not able to help supply these items throughout the year, so any donations of these supplies would be very appreciated by me and my students!
